Cloudstream Takes Site and Code Offline in Response to Hollywood Complaint

The MPA, Hollywood’s anti-piracy group, has sent a DMCA notice to GitHub asking the platform to remove several Cloudstream-related files, including the CloudStream app, an Android-based software which can aggregate pirated content from third-party sources and is fully customizable through open-source extensions, and, complying with the takedown request, the Cloudstream developer has voluntarily removed the contested files from GitHub, hoping to avoid legal repercussions.
