International Criminal Court Issues Arrest War Crimes Arrest Warrant Against Vladimir Putin

The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, his Commissioner for Children's Rights, for the crimes of unlawful deportation and unlawful transfer of Ukrainian children from occupied areas of Ukraine to Russia, which is unlikely to lead to their trial and conviction but may help prosecute other Russian officials or maintain opposition to Putin's regime.
