The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has released updated guidance on how employers should interact with employees and applicants who have hearing disabilities, which comes after the EEOC’s recent settlements with two private employers for disability discrimination and/or failure to accommodate hearing-impaired individuals.
