Was ist Polizeirecht?

Das Polizeirecht regelt die Befugnisse der Polizei in Bezug auf die öffentliche Sicherheit und Ordnung. Es umfasst die Ermittlung und Verhütung von Straftaten, sowie die Überwachung und Durchsetzung von Gesetzen und Vorschriften. Dabei müssen die Grundrechte und Freiheiten der Bürger gewahrt werden. Verstöße gegen das Polizeirecht können strafrechtliche Konsequenzen haben. In Deutschland ist das Polizeirecht Ländersache, so dass es in den einzelnen Bundesländern Unterschiede geben kann.
